Have you ever had that feeling of desperation, anxiety, madness when you were so focused on finding a misplaced object?
It happens to me daily. The other day I was mad-dashing in search of my other wallet, I know I placed it on my TV stand, I looked frantically, around, up, down, underneath…and nothing! It drove me mad. The search continues…
But I realized that in those moments, in our lives, be it a lost wallet, phone or id, missed connections, that when we become frantic in search of those items and things, when we let that “search” consume our lives, it is exactly during those times we have to take a step back. Breathe. let go. Move on. Eventually, we find our focus. Our purpose.
Eventually, we find those items and we move on. We can’t let those items or our daily struggles/frustrations turn into a beast. A creature that feeds on our anxieties. Often times when we take a step back, from a manuscript, Photoshop duties, deciding on a graduate program, searching for our car keys, is when we find our answer to our current problem. We find those lost wallets, keys, ids. We refocus our energy and get our projects completed (or at least moving in the right direction.)

let your project or your “search” for an item rest. Give it a chance to breathe. Come back to it. More times than not, the solution or lost item is discovered.
